The WA76 from Warm Audio is a modern reproduction of the 1176 revision D limiting amplifier. With its completely discrete signal path and use of the original Reichenbach Engineering s (now CineMag) transformer design, the unit remains as faithful as possible to the construction of the original classic.
The 1176 was a major breakthrough in limiter technology, being the first true peak limiter with an all transistor circuitry while offering superior performance and a signature sound.
