Grace Design FELIX 2- Overview

Singer / songwriters in search of a studio-quality acoustic instrument and microphone preamp will be thrilled with the Grace Design FELiX2, a 2-channel preamp and EQ with blend control, intended for amplifying stringed instruments and microphones. Housed in a portable, black floor-unit chassis made from anodized aluminum and steel, FELiX2 delivers a high-quality, yet rugged preamplification solution to musicians, engineers, studios, rental companies, and venues.

Version 2 adds numerous updates and features, including stereo operation, variable phase control, more EQ power, a new power supply, protective side rails, and a channel 1 boost / defeat. The FELiX2's EQ section allows simple and intuitive tone shaping. Each channel features a high variable pass filter that cuts 12 dB per octave from 20 Hz to 1 kHz that also can be set as a notch filter for surgical problem correction. Both channels also have parametric midrange controls that cover from 70 Hz all the way to 8 kHz, while fixed low and high controls are carefully voiced for musical shading of bass and treble.

• Class II power supply eliminates ground loops when connecting to stage amps and other non-isolated stage equipment
