With incredibly accurate robot-assisted sample captures from top-of-the-line hand-tuned pianos, Pianoverse gives you full control over your piano sound, including lid position, harp resonance, pedal and mallet noises, and selection of two mic layouts for either a classical or in-your-face modern sound.

Pianoverse sports numerous FX on tap, including EQ, compression, a VCA-style limiter, stereo width, and more, with three simultaneous FX and four modulation sources two envelopes and two LFOs. With 30 stunning generative spaces to choose from, each fully customizable, you can sweeten your sound with just the right spatial fullness or take it to unique locations like Mars or an iceberg, and adjust settings for sounds that have never been heard before. This instrument plug-in is available for macOS and Windows computers.

This version of Pianoverse includes a complete model of a Yamaha U5 piano. Each piano in Pianoverse can be installed alone as either a 64-bit plug-in or a standalone instrument for Mac and Windows computers.

IK's team spent months sourcing treasured piano instruments from the most prestigious manufacturers including Yamaha, Steinway, Bösendorfer, Fazioli, and more. Each instrument was brought to one of Italy's finest studios, hand-tuned and prepared, then sampled using multiple microphone setups and IK's unique custom-built robotic system that allows a degree of velocity measurement, sampling precision, and repeatability that simply cannot be matched with traditional sampling workflows.

IK's sound-design team then used subtle techniques perfected over 2 decades of virtual instrument programming to bring these thousands of samples to life. Pianoverse's groundbreaking new engine uses completely redesigned round-robin, voice management, and other techniques to deliver a seamlessly authentic experience.

Pianoverse shines with a unique combination of performance controls for both stage and studio work. To customize each piano's sound, Pianoverse offers adjustable lid position, harp resonance, pedal noise, or even the noise of the piano mallets, all things that are usually only available in modeled instruments.

And for live use, all three pedals offer continuous control, including half- and catch-pedaling and una corda, to deliver an unmatched performance experience. Whether for classical, jazz, pop, Latin, or any other genre, Pianoverse offers truly superior piano sound and feel.

Must-Have Studio Processing

Pianoverse provides two sets of microphones per piano, so the user can choose if they prefer a more modern in-the-face sound or a more classical vibe. On top of that, for traditional sound-shaping and mixing, the Pianoverse engine also offers a comprehensive suite of must-have effects tools.

There's selectable EQ and compression, each with multiple modes, for both instrument and room stereo microphone pairs. And a dedicated master channel offers EQ and a VCA-style limiter for final tonal balancing and loudness, while a Stereo Width control helps you set the stereo width, even reversing it from player perspective to audience perspective for accurate listening.

Using a new generative reverberation engine, Pianoverse transports its concert-grade pianos to 30 sonic destinations, each with its own unique ambient sound. These go from traditional concert halls and studio spaces to less traditional ones like a warehouse or a vault, or otherworldly cinematic environments like an iceberg, desert, or even Mars.

Traditional spaces such as clubs and cathedrals are perfect for regular piano performances, but journey further afield to discover rich, interactive spaces that are perfect for all types of movie soundtracks. Each space uses unique sound generative techniques to create incredibly evocative soundscapes, inspiring your creativity at each step. Plus each space includes flexible controls to further shape your sound and create never-heard-before cinematic sounds and textures.

Uniquely Powerful Creative Effects

In addition to custom-created Spaces, Pianoverse also offers you 12 new creative effects to design your own sounds. These effects range from new cinematic spatial effects to must-have studio effects, and can be inserted on 3 simultaneous slots the first slot being a parallel send effect, while slots 2 and 3 are insert effects. Then, uniquely in Pianoverse effects, there are also 4 modulation sources, 2 envelopes, and 2 LFOs, that may be assigned to various parameters in these 3 effect slots to further animate and move the sound, and create extreme effects when desired.
