Designed for singer/songwriters, TV composers, and home recording artists, Steinberg Cubase Elements 13 provides a streamlined music-production environment that combines fast and intuitive tools with pristine audio quality. This software can be used for composing, sequencing, beat making, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering making it ideal for producing and scoring tracks in all genres, from start to finish, on a budget. Elements 13 features several updates and enhancements including an updated MixConsole, range tool, a channel tab in the Project window, chord pads, Iconica Sketch orchestral library, sampler track with Spectral Warp, and five new sample packs.

For superior audio quality, Cubase Elements 13 utilizes a 64-bit audio engine compatible with resolutions up to 192 kHz. The software offers 48 audio, 64 MIDI, and 24 instrument tracks, with fully automatic delay compensation and flexible routing options and accommodation for up to 24 physical inputs and outputs and 16 group channels. Users have access to 45 audio FX plug-ins, three virtual instruments with over 1000 sounds, and side-chain inputs.

For single-user educational licenses (EE), teachers, educators and students of universities, public and private (music) schools, and SAE Institutes are eligible. Teachers must be employed by an eligible institution, while students must be currently enrolled at an eligible institution.

Next-Generation Audio Engine

• The award-winning Cubase audio engine features crystal-clear 64-bit floating-point resolution at a 192 kHz sample rate, delivering pristine sound quality that is the hallmark of the Cubase music production experience. It includes true surround capability, with each track and channel offering up to six discrete channels for 5.1 surround mixes.

MediaBay

• MediaBay helps you to find and organize your content. When working with many files, you want to find the content you need quickly and easily. After scanning your folders, all media files of the supported formats that have been found are listed in the Results section.

MIDI Remote

• MIDI controllers are essential to every music production setup. MIDI Remote Scripts will help to automatically detect your device and map the controls. If there is no script for your device yet, you can easily create your own with the MIDI Controller Surface Editor. You can then conveniently connect controls and parameters with the Mapping Assistant.

Colorized Mixer Channels

• Colorize complete mixer channels in the MixConsole with track colors. This allows you to concentrate more on your mix by intuitively finding the tracks you`re looking for.

Latency Monitor

• Speed up your editing workflow by combining the selection tools for both objects and ranges. They can both be used simultaneously with the Range Selection Tool in the upper part of the track and the Selection Tool in the lower part of the track.

Notepad

• Each channel in the MixConsole window has its own Notepad, which allows you to enter notes and comments about each channel.

Disabling Tracks

• System resources can be conserved by disabling audio, instrument, MIDI, and sampler tracks that you do not want to play back or process at a given time. Disabling a track zeroes its output volume and shuts down all disk activity and processing for it.

Safe Start Mode

• Initiate Cubase/Nuendo without any third-party plug-ins loaded.

VST System Link

• This network system for digital audio allows you to have several computers working together in one large system. Unlike conventional networks, it does not require Ethernet cards, hubs, or Cat 5 cables.
