The satin nickel Microtech Gefell M 92.1 S is a cardioid tube condenser microphone offering high signal-to-noise performance and tube warmth for vocals and soloists. Its large-diaphragm capsule features two gold-coated PVC membranes and is complemented by the specially selected EF 86 vacuum preamp tube.
With its robust sensitivity and wide dynamic range, the M 92.1 S delivers a full sound while handling SPLs up to 118 dB. Thanks to the cardioid polar pattern, pickup of off-axis sound is reduced, especially from behind the mic. The microphone connects to the power supply unit via a 7-pin cable, while a 3-pin XLR output is provided on the power supply for connection to your mic preamp.
The supplied elastic suspension securely holds the M 92.1 S and mitigates the transfer of vibrations and stand handling noise. A suitcase is provided to house the microphone, power supply, and other included components. A draft shield is also supplied to reduce breath noise and light plosives.
