The Anton/Bauer VCLX Battery and Charger Kit provides you with a 630Wh power station and all the tools you need to recharge it. Dual simultaneous outputs on the battery can provide 14.4 or 28V via 4- or 3-pin XLR connections. The charger has a slim profile for maximum portability and can fully charge the VCLX in seven hours. An included 19-pin LEMO cable links the two together.
Anton/Bauer CINE VCLX Battery
The Anton/Bauer CINE VCLX Battery is a 14.4V and 28V 630Wh NiMH battery that provides dual simultaneous outputs and is ideal for high current applications. Power output is via two 4-pin XLR connectors for 14.4V and one 3-pin XLR connector for 28V.
This battery connects to the CINE VCLX charger and has an onboard computer that continuously communicates with the charger for maximum power efficiency. Exchanged information includes such factors as the battery age, self-discharge, charge/discharge rate, cell imbalance, and previously experienced charge/discharge cycles. Also built into the battery is an LCD monitor that accurately displays the percentage of remaining battery capacity at all times.
To protect against damage to the battery, this battery has a low voltage cut-off feature which will automatically shut off the battery at 12 volts.
Microprocessor Fuel Computer
Accurately monitors the energy put into and taken out of the battery. This data is processed with sophisticated programs that take into account battery age, self-discharge, charge/discharge rate, cell imbalance, and previously experienced charge/discharge cycles. The battery constantly " learns" its precise state of charge and remaining capacity. This data is automatically transmitted to the charger.
Integral RealTime LCD
Accurately displays the percentage of remaining battery capacity at all times.
Multi-Voltage Output
The multi-voltage output, both 14.4 and 28V makes this battery unique, making it the perfect application for most film cameras.
High Current Output
Allows for 20 amp current drawn from 14.4 volt outputs and 12 amp draw from 28 volt outputs.
Case Design
The high-quality design of the battery protects the cells from impact and normal operating use.
Individual Computer Testing
Like all professional Anton/Bauer batteries, this battery has been individually computer tested, for assurance of optimum capacity, voltage, and overall quality.
Low Voltage Cut-Off
The battery has a low voltage cut-off to protect against damage to the battery. The low voltage cut-off is set to 12V.

Anton/Bauer CINE VCLX Charger
The Anton/Bauer CINE VCLX Charger features a slim and portable design and allows you to charge the Anton/Bauer CINE VCLX, VCLX-CA, and VCLXS batteries. The Anton/Bauer CS-GBC Charger Cable, not included, is required for connecting the battery. The charger supports a single battery at a time via a LEMO output port, and charges it in approximately 7 hours.
Note:
Anton/Bauer CS-GBC Charger Cable (not included) is required for connecting the battery.
Key Features
InterActive Technology
Full InterActive technology including six simultaneous charge termination systems, Balance and Rejuvenation modes, and LifeSaver Maintenance mode. InterActive communication between battery and charger, which allows the charger to identify the cell packs and determine the precise charge routine for that cell pack under the prevailing conditions. This information is communicated to the charger by the battery and is incorporated, through specialized programming and algorithms to optimize the charging of the battery.
Worldwide Compatibility
Wide range mains input compatibility (100-240 VAC 50-60 Hz) automatically adapts to any mains source worldwide.
Charge Status
Red and green LEDs for charge status - red and green alternating, steady red, flashing red, and steady green.
Three-Stage Charging Methodology
In general, the CINE VCLX Charger will deliver a three-stage charge routine to each battery.
Stage 1
Stage 1 will deliver a charge matched to the capabilities of the battery. During this stage, six separate cutoff methods are in operation, simultaneously, ensuring the fastest, safest charge for that battery.
Stage 2
Stage 2 charging is a balancing or " equalize" mode which calculates each battery pack type to offset any imbalance of the battery s cells, created by unequal self-discharge or any capacity mismatch of the individual cells in the pack. This stage can vary in duration from zero to as much as 16 hours, depending on the condition of the battery. A battery will typically leave Stage 2 in 2-4 hours under average operating conditions.
Stage 3
Stage 3 charging is the Anton/Bauer exclusive Lifesaver maintenance mode. This patented pulse routine keeps batteries fully charged, free from self-discharge - indefinitely - without damaging heat associated with so-called " trickle charge" .
