This ClingOn Guard single piece from Other World Computing helps protect USB Type-C and Thunderbolt cables from strain and unintentional disconnects. The ClingOn Guard attaches by adhesive to the device that the cable plugs into, securing right over the device s connector while sitting snug around the cable.
An interior foam lining is what ensures that it sits snug, and that s how it reduces wiggling and the chance of slipped connections. The cable can still be pulled out and plugged back in while the ClingOn is attached. The ClingOn is not a cable clamp, but it does minimize the chance of strain and disconnects, especially in cases where the connection isn t very strong. The exterior of the ClingOn is made of rigid plastic.
