The PXW-X400 to PXW-Z450 4K Upgrade Kit from Sony is designed to modify an existing PXW-X400 camcorder. This kit includes a 4K sensor board, a main circuit board, a connector box (SDI 3 and 4), and an outside camera panel with a 4K logo. The PXW-Z450 camera incorporates a back-illuminated 2/3 -type Exmor R CMOS sensor, and captures up to 3840 x 2160 UHD 4K video at 60 fps. The upgraded camera retains the ergonomic features and advanced streaming options of the PXW-400 while adding additional codecs.
The back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor features low power consumption, high sensitivity, and a 61 dB signal-to-noise ratio. The PXW-Z450 camera supports XAVC Intra and XAVC Long recording for UHD, Full HD, and 720p (up to 60 fps). HD/SD video recording options include MPEG2 HD422, 420, IMX, and DVCAM up to 60 fps. Files are MXF-wrapped with the camera s metadata.
The purchaser is responsible for shipping the camera and upgrade kit to a Sony service center Sony covers the shipping expenses of returning the upgraded camera to the customer.
