AIDA Imaging 12x Full HD IP Broadcast PTZ Camera

I purchased two of these cameras and overall fairly satisfied with some drawbacks These cameras have a fantastic image that hits hard against much more expensive cameras. It has very low noise in low light settings moves nice and quiet all at a price point that most can afford. I chose these over PTZ Optics for being able to work with Blackmagic ATEM inputs and it does so wonderfully. Now for the problems. The camera has a red & blue manual white balance that is hard to match the picture to cameras that have color temps in kelvin, adding a lot of time to get it to look right. Auto white balance has massive swings that make it hard to use over making adjustments. I've resorted to using the push white balance and tuning the other cameras to it. My marshall PTZ controller works for one camera, but as soon as I use the output port to daisy chain to the second, the camera stops working and it resets its video settings, which mean I lose signal to my ATEM desk. The chain is out from the PTZ controller to an RJ 45 adapter and then to another adapter to the RS port. I have both marshall and AIDA PTZ control adapters and it does the same thing on both. I had one camera suddenly look like an oil painting with an apperent sensor failure. AIDA took great care of me in getting a replacement quickly. These things happen no matter how expensive the camera is, but it does make me worry that it happened a few months in.

The quality is great, came with a good number of options for cords, quiet. But it moves really fast even on the slowest setting which can make the video choppy and the manual I found hard to understand. But I did phone AIDA and they had great customer service.

I've been working professionally with IP cameras for 12 years. I've mostly purchased Sony, Axis, and Canon cameras over that time, but due to some COVID shipping issues, decided to give the Aida 20X a shot. This PTZ is a great performer. The low light capability is excellent, and the optics appear to be of high quality. The programming is very simple, while no where near as feature rich as an Axis camera, but very functional and easy to use if you are a first timer into the PTZ IP world.
