The adapter ring also features 95mm female threading on its front, allowing the attachment of a screw-on filter to the lens. This aluminum alloy adapter is both lightweight and sturdy, blocking light from seeping in behind your matte box. A thumbscrew on the back of the matte box clamps the adapter in place.
