Its silent and smooth aperture transitions and manual focus make it ideal for shooting video and its aperture and focus rings are toothed to provide better grip for follow-focus rigging. Compatible with both full-frame sensors and APS-C sensors, it offers sharp imaging with its 10-element, 1 aspherical optic lens design. Aremovable petal-type lens hood is included with the lens for stray light deflection and protection of the convex shaped lens.
