Wacom EODIS3-DCWA Color Manager

I've used this in three monitors and two computers. Works easily and quickly. The bundled software needs updated drivers which you download from Wacom. It crashed twice on my Mac before updating the drivers which seems reasonable. Simple on screen instructions.

I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5 because in typical Wacom fashion the directions are useless and there is no information anywhere. At this point I'm not sure Wacom knows they actually make the product. Follow the prompts and use it on auto. My 27 inch Cintiq and my monitor now match so I'm happy about that. As far as adjusting the brightness I'm lost. I would call Wacom but Life is too short to waste my time. If you have experience in color management you might not have a problem. My old X-Rite worked great until Apple upgraded it's operating system and it became extinct. That was only experience I've had.

I'm using with my Wacom Cintiq and I'm having excellent results. It's an improvement of the one I was using which was not tailored for Wacom. However - there needs to be better documentation on all the features that are available. I'm having to find things out by 'poking around'.

A couple of things before I get to it, 1) I went into this having never calibrated a monitor of any kind. 2) I mostly believed I would be disappointed and fixated on how overpriced this device is. 3) I was happy in the end. Now, a large sigh because the color manager comes with a CD. I havent had a cd drive in quite a while and I know many are in the same boat. That meant searching online for the software. Easy peasy right? I wish it were that simple. After a search that led me to the download, I ran through the prompts to discover that the necessary install of X-Rite Device Services had failed. Without it you lack a critical driver and the Wacom software will not run. I then searched X-Rite Device Services and downloaded the latest version. Installed and voila, were on our way. Not so fast as youll soon find that the latest version of Wacom Color Manager online is actually not the latest available. Youll be prompted to install another and, because the interface is weird, old and dusty, youll have to click install from an obscure spot in the program rather than having it initiate automatically after the download is complete. I am using it for 2 displays (Cintiq Pro 16 and a Macbook) but the unique circumstance of my PC being connected to a tv meant I needed to go into my display settings and changing the option that enabled the Wacom to show up during the calibration stage. Finally, I was able to complete the calibration but, Im unsure if the saved profile is embedded in the device memory or on the computer. Guess Ill find out but I hope this helps someone. One more thing: the Cintiq Pro 16 will display in 4k using a usb-c to usb-c if the cable is plugged into the top left port. You may need to connect and/or turn off the tablet a few times. My screen was blank for a while and I was about to give up, then it just worked. Meh.
