Elvid StudioVision 4K HDMI Monitor with HDR (28")

First off, the sunshade is 2 inch's shorter than the case. They pack it in between the 2 pull handles so they know there is no way for it to fit Second, as the other review says, you MUST be directly looking at it from front. Just a bit off to the side or higher or lower it is useless. A real DO NOT BUY product

I liked the travel case the monitor came in. The color looked good, but the viewing angle is narrow. Monitor looks great straight on, but as you stand or sit, thus not right in front of the monitor, the image goes lighter or darker. I decided to send it back rather than deal with this limitation.

I have both, the 28 and the 15.6. Whenever possible, I would want to take both monitors on set. I do corporate interviews and all kinds of production for cinematography. Two primary things these monitors are indispensable are: Multi camera interviews and filming a movie scene. There is also a 23.8 size available, to stay in between, not too large, not too small. But if you wish to purchase 2 monitors of different sizes, I recommend the 15.6 and the 28. The 28 allows you to see a bigger image, great for details, and especially to see if something is in the shot, such as helping with lighting composition, or maybe a gaffer tape roll right in a movie scene or interview that someone forgot to remove from frame, which is difficult to see details like this from a tiny camcorders' LCD display. This is the primary reason why bringing a large monitor on set is so important, plus your director gets to see everything, comfortably from his chair, not to mention, it adds professionalism to your brand as a production company. Now, bringing the small one, the 15.6 is very useful, especially when the client decides to do the next take in a room that won't fit a large monitor. They are identical in performance and software, and again, having both size options on set is a must. Speaking of viewing, All 3 size monitors will allow you to see the screen perfectly either standing up, in front at eye level, or even from the sides up to 160-170 degrees, which is very convenient if a number of people need to be watching the monitor screen, or, when you are setting a table for product photography and if you happen to be at a difficult to see angle from where the monitor is standing. The Elvid StudioVision 4K monitors can be used not only for production on set, but also as a computer monitor, for both, photography and cinematography purposes. It has many inputs such as DVI, VGA, 3G SDI, bit I will be using mostly its HDMIs. These monitors are also full HDCP compliant, which means, you can watch any content from Netflix, smartphones or any other source that requires HDCP. The Elvid StudioVision 4K monitors will give you everything you need, such as, quad split, dual split, it even accepts external audio from any source, like, your mixer, digital recorder, anything that you can plug in the monitor's RCA input in the back panel. It also allows you to either carry the audio from any of the 4 cameras by choosing it via the monitor's Menu. You can also have the audio from a specific camera, again, via the Menu. So far, for audio and video, it takes care of it all. When you are in Dual split mode, this monitor is also capable of displaying the images in it's correct aspect, in the proper shape, without stretching (consult the manual). The first thing you'll be happy with is how very well packed these monitors come shipped, in a rigorously packed box, ensuring a safe transit until it gets to your doorstep. I have two of these monitors and the same peace of mind. The monitors arrived in perfect condition on every corner, thanks to the high density packing materials inside. So when you order yours, you can relax. I love the hard case it comes with and I don't plan to remove the actual monitor out of its case. But if you wish, you can. (It's in the manual as well) I'm very pleased with the Elvid StudioVision 4K monitors. For the price, and so much it offers when it comes to pro monitors, it is hard to beat.
