Raya Brite Stix RGB LED Light Wand V3 with IR Remote (15")

This is a great, affordable RGB wand. I'm really impressed with the overall build quality. It has a nice aluminum shell around the actual light which gives it a sturdy and protected quality. But is still very lightweight. Buttons feel firm and responsive. It feels like a more expensive light than you would expect to get at this low price point. I don't have a light meter, but it puts out a good amount of light in my opinion. Once you learn how the buttons on the handle work and the layout, it's pretty easy to navigate around. With the remote there are easy buttons to adjust color temp, brightness, effects or adjust rgb colors. And let me just say I like having a physical remote as opposed to an app. Don't get me wrong, sometimes an app is great, but for something like this I would much rather be able to quickly change settings than worry about scrambling through my phone to use an app. I like having an LED light wand in my kit for a couple of reasons. It's a good back light because it is so light and maneuverable. I screwed on a little 90-degree mount/holder that allows me to tilt the light horizontally. This helps with flexibility on the light's angle and to use it as a backlight. Also, it could probably cover 2 people being interviewed, especially if they are sitting close. Having a remote is great because you can make fine-tuned adjustments while the light is in position and running. This wand light checks all the boxes for me as it's lightweight, bright, and includes a remote control. Plus, having played with it a little I can think of even more situations I'll be able to use it. The small, thin form factor will be great to hide as a low backlight behind a stationary person's body to create a glow around the subject. I also love that it is rechargeable and comes with a strap, making it a great handheld portable light. The strap and charge-ability has me thinking of all the situations I can use it walking along with a moving subject during moving shots. And also, to create moving light effects handheld. This will be cool. Some additional things about the light. It comes with a diffusion already on the light to soften it. The battery run time is impressive. I left it running on full brightness after a full charge and it lasted close to 2 hours of run time. Which I found fantastic. One more thing to add, I love that it comes with a case. That might sound insignificant to some, but to be able to pack it away, with the remote and charging cable and keep it all neatly self-contained is fantastic. The chances of damaging the light or losing the accessories goes down significantly. Having a case is appreciated.
