Magewell 115900000 Overview

Capture up to DCI 4K 60 video using the Eco Capture HDMI 4K Plus M.2 Capture Card from Magewell. This compact M.2 2280-unit features HDMI and DVI-D inputs, capturing your stream via PCIe 3.0 x 4 with eight channels of embedded audio. It includes a heatsink/fan combo for keeping the unit cool. Features include auto signal detection, low-latency and SG-DMA transmission modes, color conversion, and support for multiple versions of Windows and Linux.

Note that the Eco Capture cards do not support MacOS operating systems.

Process and Capture Features

• Video processing pipelines with ~700 MP/s processing bandwidth.
• ~2400 MB/s per channel DMA bandwidth in a PCIe 3.x system.
• ~1600 MB/s per channel DMA bandwidth in a PCIe 2.x system.
• ~800 MB/s per channel DMA bandwidth in a PCIe 1.x system.
• Capture videos up to 4096 x 2160, frame rates up to 240 fps.
• Note that actual capture frame rate can be limited by the PCIe bandwidth and internal working frequency.

• Supports custom output formats using Magewell Capture SD.
• Supports custom EDID, up/down scaling, de-interlacing, color space conversion, and frame rate conversion.
• Multiple capture streams, unlimited capture streams for any one input channel.
• Supports timestamp and A/V synchronization.
• Hardware based 100ns high-resolution clock.
• Audio frames (192 audio samples) and video frames are stamped with hardware clock.
• Hardware clock can be synchronized across cards (via SDK).

HDMI and DVI-D Inputs

• The HDMI and DVI-D inputs support up to DCI 4K60, 1080p120, and 720p120 video resolutions.
• Supports video scaling, de-interlacing, color format conversion, and frame rate conversion.
• Supports HDR10 high dynamic range.
• Video is input with up to 12-bit 4:4:4 color.
• A 100ns high-resolution clock is based on hardware implementation.
• Hardware clock synchronization across cards is available via an SDK.

Heatsink/Fan

This Eco Capture card includes a heatsink/fan unit to keep the system cool.

• The MWCapture SDK provides functions, including signal status extraction, capture configuration, real-time audio and video capture, and more.
