AVPro Edge MXNet 1G Evolution II Downmixing Encoder

The MXNet 1G Evolution II Downmixing Encoder from AVPro Edge receives and encodes HDMI 2.0 video with the added feature of audio downmixing from Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD, and other high-end audio formats. Designed for use with multi-zone stereo distribution systems, the encoder extracts and outputs downmixed signals via its Euroblock connector. It supports resolutions up to DCI 4K60 4:4:4, along with control, power, and HDR metadata and requires an MXNet switch or a multicast capable L3 switch. This encoder supports HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision up to 30 Hz and can be used with Cat 6A cable or with SFP fiber for longer runs. It features a new AVPro Edge ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) for enhanced video processing and support for audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for IMAX Enhanced soundtracks.

Note:

The AC-MXNET-1G-AVDM-EV2 may coexist alongside 1st-generation MXNet encoders and decoders within previously installed or pending systems however, they are required to be used exclusively in EVO II transmitter-to-EVO II decoder(s) pairings only.

Audio Downmixing

• The Evolution II Downmixing Encoder uses a proprietary audio decoder module to extract 2-channel balanced analog audio from high bitrate, multichannel audio codecs including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X IMAX Enhanced for integration with multi-zone stereo distribution systems.
• Downmixed signals are extracted and output in analog stereo via the balanced Euroblock terminal on the encoder chassis.

AVPro Edge ASIC

The AVPro Edge ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) substantially improves the fidelity of the decoded image.

JPEG 2000

• The JPEG 2000 encoding used by MXNet components optimizes compression efficiency for applications with limited bandwidth.
• Provides both lossless or lossy compression and parsable code streams.
• Genlock support for syncing a video source to decoders comprising a video wall for a tear-free screen appearance.

Up to UHD 4K60 Support

• This Evolution II Encoder supports video resolutions up to DCI 4K60 4:4:4/4:2:2 12-bit signals using limited, ultralight ICT compression.
• Supports up to DCI 4K60 4:4:4 8-bit and UHD 4K60 4:2:2 12-bit uncompressed video signals.
• Supports HDR 10, HLG, and Dolby Vision up to DCI 4K30.

High-Bitrate Audio Support

• The Evolution II Encoder supports multichannel, high-bitrate audio.
• Supports audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS-X for IMAX Enhanced soundtracks and more.

OLED Window

• The front-panel OLED screen displays critical information, making setup and troubleshooting easier.
• The data window displays the IP address and the MAC address or can be modified to display up to 12-character custom names.
