The N5 3G-SDI to NDI & NDI HX 2/3 Bidirectional Converter from Kiloview transmits video at resolutions up to 1080p60 over an NDI IP network utilizing low-latency switching via a web-based GUI. It supports NDI high bandwidth and NDI|HX 2/3 with loop-through for viewing on a monitor, or 3G-SDI video output originating from any NDI sources coming from any camera, software, or device.
The N5 supports PTZ camera control via USB to serial RS-232/485/422 or over IP, using a single Ethernet cable that can also power the device with PoE (Power over Ethernet) support. Embedded and 3.5mm multichannel audio support is augmented with voice intercom that works between all Kiloview devices and the control PC or phone. A large LED tally display on the front provides program or preview mode status.
2-In-1 NDI Encoding and Decoding
The N5 supports encoding/decoding of NDI High Bandwidth and NDI|HX 2/3. Switch the working mode on the UI to the mode you want, and it can easily accommodate all your workflows. In encoding mode, you can encode 3G-SDI signal into an NDI High Bandwidth/NDI|HX 2/3 video stream. Decoding mode automatically adapts the NDI High Bandwidth/NDI|HX 2/3 for output through 3G-SDI.
Built-In LCD Screen
A 1.14 LCD screen with touch buttons allows you to easily check the connectivity, IP address, CPU, memory, resolution, temperature, and tally status in real-time.
Seamless Switching
In decoding mode, you can preset up to nine NDI sources from the web UI and choose one to output without suffering from black screen, flashing, or lagging.
Control with a USB Keypad
In decoder mode, you can preset the NDI sources from numbers 0-9. Connect the decoder with a USB keypad and easily select the output source with a single press. Or you can use the USB keypad to control a PTZ camera with the most affordable PTZ keyboard you can get.
Multiple Power Options
PoE support allows the N5 to be powered with a single cable connection. With a wide input range of 5 to 18 VDC, it can also be easily powered via USB power or a camera battery.
