Designed to allow users to display presentations and documents on a VGAprojector or monitor, this converter features a micro-HDMI port supporting all devices with a micro-HDMI interface, such as Ultrabooks. It also has a 3.5mm audio output so you can separately run audio since the VGAoutput is only capable of passing video. You can run up to 1920 x 1200 resolution video signals, including Full HD 1080p.
This converter requires no power source, as it gets its power from your micro-HDMI source, but because it converts both video and audio, the power coming from your micro-HDMI source may not be enough, depending on the source. For this reason this converter also has a USB port for supplementary power -- whenever your micro-HDMI source doesn t provide enough power, just plug in a USB cable running from your computer, or connect a USB power adapter, and you ll have sufficient power. Everything works plug-and-play with no setup required. This converter is very compact and an easy accessory to carry in your bag.
