The Tabletop HDMI/VGA Auto-Sensing HDBaseT Transmitter from AVPro Edge is a dual-input Cat 6a transmitter that allows you to switch between the HDMI and VGA inputs at the press of a front-panel button. A 3.5mm audio port is also provided for use with the VGA input. The transmitter sends a UHD 4K HDMI or HDR signal up to 230 , or a 1080p signal up to 328 , over a single Cat 6a cable to optional receivers such as the AC-EX100-UHD-R3. The VGA port supports DCI 2K, 1080p, and WUXGA/60 Hz signals. Bidirectional RS-232 and IP control is also supported from either the transmitter or optional receiver end. There are also two Ethernet ports for direct connection to routers, streaming, and access-point applications.
The tabletop transmitter can be used across a variety of applications, including in schools, offices, meeting rooms, and huddle rooms. Built to military-grade standards, it s designed to ensure stable connections for long periods of time. Also, it can be cascaded with additional units for transmission over longer distances.
A power supply is included, but no local power is necessary when interfacing with PoE end devices such as the abovementioned receiver.
4K and HDR Resolutions
The transmitter supports UHD 4K60 4:2:0 8-bit or 4K30 4:4:4 HDMI signals as well as HDR formats of 4K24 4:2:2 12-bit and 4K24 4:2:0 10-bit. The VGA input supports DCI 2K, 1080p, and 1920 x 1200/60 Hz signals.
High-Quality Audio
Supported audio formats include uncompressed PCM 2-channel, LPCM 5.1 and 7.1, Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD-Master Audio, and Dolby Atmos.
Auto-Sensing
The transmitter works plug-and-play with auto input sensing, requiring no further configuration on the user end. When you plug in your device, the transmitter automatically senses the signal and makes it active. If both HDMI and VGA signals are connected, a toggle button on the front allows you to switch between them as needed.
