Kramer EXT3-21 Overview

The 2x1 4K60 HDMI/USB Switcher Extender over HDBaseT 3.0 from Kramer is capable of extending AV and USB coupled signals up to 328' via HDBaseT twisted pair connection. The extender features a transmitter side with RJ45 HDBaseT output and HDMI loop output as well as a receiver side with HDMI and RJ45 HDBaseT inputs. The receiver side also has an HDMI output port. Use the system to receive HDBaseT signals and convert them back to the original input form.

Video resolutions up to 4K60 are supported by the system. Both sides of the unit have a balanced 5-pin block stereo audio line. USB-B, USB-C, and USB-A ports allow you to connect peripheral devices to the system like keyboards, mice, and microphones. RS-232 and IR signals make for intuitive control of the unit. Power the devices via the included power supply or PoE support.

Hybrid Meeting Collaboration

Coupled signal switching of both AV and USB host inputs create a concurrent connection with AV output and room USB devices for hybrid meetings.

High-Performance Extender

Extended reach signals over twisted pair copper cables can connect the unit to any market-available HDBaseT-compliant extension product.

HDMI Signal Switching and Extension

HDCP 2.3, EDID, and CEC signals are passed through from the source to the display. The unit supports HDR10, deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync, HDMI uncompressed audio, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, 2K, 4K, and 3D as specified in HDMI 2.0.

HDMI Mirroring

The transmitter side of the extender has an HDMI loop output port to connect a local monitor or additional daisy chained unit for mirroring.

Auto Switching

Automatically plays the signal of the plugged-in source onto the connected display, according to user configured preferences, such as last-connected input or user control commands.

Flexible USB Switching and Extension

An active USB 3.1 host port is present on both the receiver or transmitter side for connection to an extender. USB 2.0 signals are extended between the transmitter and receiver sides, and switched at the receiver side, to enable connection of the active USB host to both local and remote devices.

Multi-Channel Audio Transmission

Up to 32 channels of digital stereo uncompressed signals are supported for studio-grade surround sound.

Audio De-Embedding

When the digital audio signal is passed through to the output it becomes de-embedded and turned into an analog signal. You can then sent the signal to the stereo balanced analog audio output. This allows you to play the audio on a locally connected system and speakers.

Intelligent EDID Processing

Intelligent EDID handling, processing, and pass-through algorithms ensure plug-and-play operation.

Built-In Control Gateway

Remote IP-driven control of connected AV, USB, projectors, and sensor devices can be achieved via CEC, RS-232, IR, I/O, or Relay signals. This eliminates the need for an external control gateway and reduces installation time for easy integration.

Other Control Options

Connect to a remote IP controller, browser operation webpage, or even use the onboard buttons for intuitive user selection, signal routing, and switcher extender control.
