The XLR connections support not only balanced mic- or line-level analog audio, but also AES3, DMX, COM, and other 3-pin XLR-based signals, and multiple differing signal types can be run simultaneously over the same Cat 5 cable. The CAT Box is fully passive, ensuring easy integration into any setup without the need to run power cables.
