CAME-TV Slider Support Rods (Pair)

Tried using two tripods or rolling cstands but this may be a much better option. one rolling cstand or tripod with these arms seems even more stable and easier to move around while on set. Clamp arm does fit the bottom of a cstand.

Its a good idea but very cheaply made. None of the locking screws tighten enough to lock everything down, there is still a lot of movement in the whole system and I can not use this since nothing will lock down tight to prevent the slider from moving. I would not buy this again.

It does what its supposed to do but quality and design could use some improvements. The screws that lock the two ball joints in place have very tiny d-rings on them making them very hard to tighten by hand, with they were bigger knobs. I will likely try to find some other type have screw to replace them with to make it easier to tighten.

It stops my 48 motorized slider on carbon fiber rails from banding at the ends and any shakiness. It also eliminates a need for two tripods. You cant get anything close to it for the money.

I really wanted to give this product a five star rating as it seemed a perfect solution to the shakiness problem I was having with my slider videos. I am a realty photographer just getting into video, and I use a 48" motorized Varavon slider with Paul Buff Vagabond mini Lithium power source on a Cullman 40200 head all on top of a Manfrotto 028B heavy duty tripod. This gives me the nice long slides to feature the interiors of luxury properties. I tried the 2-tripod method of support for the slider, but that was inconvenient to move from room to room, so I thought I had found the answer with these rods. These slider rods are 2 telescoping aluminum pipes with flip locks in the center, a mini ball head on each end and a c- clamp at the one end of each rod. Upon opening the package after arrival at my door, my first clue that something was not right was that one of the ballheads was in 3 pieces in the box. I was able to reassemble it though. At first, I thought the rods were great, they really stabilized the slider. After a couple of uses, I unfortunately noticed that the ballheads supplied did not 100% clamp properly (no matter how hard I torqued the locks), meaning that there was still potential play in the rods. Fortunately, I did not get any ruined footage, but this caused me to lose confidence in this product very quickly... all I need is one ruined video session that I don't notice until post, to create untold grief for me. :( As I mentioned, I have a very heavy rig, so maybe this would be ok for a 36" slider with your pocket camera on it, not a professional rig. And then.... While final inspecting the 4 ballheads to size them up for 100% replacement (....), I noticed that they are falling apart after just 3 on-site deployments (see photo). So... bottom line it will probably cost anyone buying this product extra to replace all 4 ballheads; It would have been much happier situation to paid a little more for a better quality product in the first place.
