Syrp Genie II Motorized Pan/Tilt Head

The number or sounds this device makes is almost unfathomable. For starters when I first got it and tried to charge it did nothing but continuously make an electronic whining sound that varied in pitch going up and up and up then shooting right back down then going up and up again. When I try to update the firmware the sounds only get weirder and louder. When I set it to pan it sounds like popcorn with a strange clicking and popping sound. Panning also makes a sound that's similar to a sheet of plastic being crumbled and wrinkled inside of the device. As I type this review I have the device powered on 5' from me and I can still hear it. It is doing literally nothing but making noise. Noise, noise, noise. It's not moving. It's doing nothing. Except making an electronic whining noise. First was Edelkrone which was feature packed but far to jittery. Then came Rhino who was much smoother but lacking in features to the point where I'd rather just keep looking. Now I've landed at Syrp which is by far the absolute noisiest slider I have ever used. The others never came close to the amount of noise this thing makes. In fact they all pretty dead silent when it came to their operation. I was really looking forward to trying out this system. In fact I don't even know how it performs as a system because I don't care to find out since the Genie II is just so noisy I'll never use it anyways. I have not even put my camera on it yet and I don't plan. It's so noisy I will never use it anyways so why waste time right? Sometimes it sounds like it's snapping, crackling or popping. It also sounds like it's pouring hot coffee, or like plastic inside is crumpling up. It stutters and skips and whistles. It even created it's own little beat when I tried to test a one minute long tilt. sometimes the noises sound mechanical. Other times they sound electrical. But no matter what it is noisey. I also blew through a 50% charge in about 30 minutes of testing. I don't know how. I wanted to like it but so far my first impression is that it is complete and total trash. I do not recommend you buy this. After going through 3 different slider systems and thousands of dollars in purchases and returns I am tired of trying to find the right one and I am hereby giving up on motorized sliders. I also want to be clear and say that I know these motorized systems make noise when you are setting A/B points because the motors are working harder to get there faster. But it makes these noises during the operation. It is both by far the noisiest slider I have ever heard operate and the noisiest one when setting up the A/B points. And the noisiest one it's just sitting idle. Also while Edelkrone and Rhino had their fair share of problems the amount of noise from Syrp is putting it on my personal blacklist. Not that they care because I'm just one customer. But my God this thing was awful, horrible, atrocious and a gigantic, massive let down.
