DJI RS 3 Gimbal Stabilizer with Wireless Mic System Kit

It's a great gimbal it's smooth and has great battery life and it's stable and I use it on a Sony 6400 and it works great lens is 55mm Sony stock lens

This is my first gimbal and I was very intimidated. I've been doing video (family films) professionally with a scarf strap wrapped around my neck and hands in a certain way to keep it stable. However, I knew with events I needed to up my game. I spent eight hours doing nothing, but playing with it. I will say that the balancing it was by far the hardest part. I'm thinking this gets easier the more I use it. Two days into an event and I couldn't imagine doing video without it.

I've owned this gimbal for about a year now, and while I haven't used it quite as much as I would've liked, theres a few areas I can speak to that may be helpful for others. The good:- Built very well- The locking feature makes it super easy to balance- Battery life is terrific- It holds heavy gear very well when balanced correctlyThe okay:- If you are approaching its weight limit, you'll need an additional arm accessory to help hold it Overall:I can fit my canon r5 with my 28-70mm f2 lens on it without issue. The vertical mount accessory is a great feature to add and it works well.

Using it with my Nikon Z6ii and it's truly amazing. Currently just staying with lightweight wide angle lenses, the 35mm f/1.8 for example. The only deficiency is more the Z6ii can only connect to the RS3 with USB-cable and not wirelessly.

Great at all things horizontal. My first gimbal, I spent a few days learning the joystick and controls and now it's indispensable at shoots. Main issue, though, is the vertical portrait mode is very limited and that's important these days. I guess I'll consider buying the vertical mounting plate but it would be nice to switch between modes with a tap. Why is vertical limited? The joystick and dial are both turned off. Only way to control the camera is to point the gimbal like a flashlight. Irritating. I know the RS4 has more vertical functionality but that has to be, like, a software update they're just not allowing on the RS3 :/Speaking of software there are genuinely so many menus and tiny control customizations you have no idea. I thought it was just going to be a motion stabilizer. It's kind of more like a handheld drone, if that makes sense.

I got this with the hard case thinking I would want the extra protection. The hard case seems rather unnecessary to me. The rig works well with my Fx3, I really like it. But this bundle seems like they are just selling unneeded accessories. Save yourself some money and just but the basic kit and add a sling handle if it is not included. The sling handle is the only thing that adds any real value in this combo. I would have got the larger version, but they were back ordered.
