I can't decide between 1-2 stars. If this plate were SOLID then it would be a solid 5-stars, but it's HOLLOW UNDERNEATH. It's actually very thin metal instead of what APPEARS to be a thick plate. What this means is it doesn't provide structural strength. If you screw a camera screw from the top down, you can lay this plate flat on a table, but if you come from the bottom UP... the normal way you'd use a plate like this, the screw comes way out the top. You can't even use the outer-most threaded holes from the bottom-up because of the edge-wall that catches and prevents anything from sitting flat on the bottom. There are only about 2-3 threads grabbing anything, because while the plate appears 1/4 thick, it's on SHAPED like that, the whole thing is about 1/8 thick (possibly less), so my excitement for the perfect structural plate for the £central hub of a rig, is not happening with this. If they showed one picture of the bottom of this plate, I would not have bought it. This is definitely intended for lightweight uses. The appearance that it's a bargain-priced heavy-duty plate is immediately lost when you flip it over.
