For stunning point-to-point overhead shots without using a drone, independent filmmakers and commercial pros alike will enjoy the creative possibilities with the ProAim Sky-Walker Pro Cinema Cablecam System. Supporting a total payload of 22 lb, including your camera and gimbal, the system can speed along at up to 15 mph when fully loaded, smoothly starting and stopping at your command.
The included remote control lets you program and control the cablecam as you move it along the included Dyneema rope that can be strung between anchor points up to approximately 330 apart. An included steel cable is used to help stabilize the cablecam for slow-moving shots, and a manual cable winch helps create the necessary tension on your cables.
Please Note: Though compatible with Mō vi gimbals, it does not include a Mō vi quick release plate.
Working Space
The Normal Operating Zone of approximately 275 is recommended. Please note that the cablecam running at high speed takes around 16 to stop itself. While selecting target distance lock points it is suggested to consider the speed and take proper precautions.
Programmable End Points
The Proaim cablecam lets you set the target distance anywhere on the cable as per your shot requirement. Once the target distance is set, the cablecam will follow it perfectly and automatically stop at target-set end points, allowing you to control framing and movement by yourself with smooth eases in and out. The Safety and damping feature of the cablecam means you will never have to take your eyes off the monitor or count on a second operator for the perfect shot.
Auto Loop
You can set the Sky-Walker to ping-pong back and forth continuously. The Intelligent Automatic Loop System lets you be creative without worrying about crashing or relying on a spotter to warn you of crashing into the end of the cable run.
Slow Motion
An included steel cable can be threaded through the top pulley to help stabilize the cablecam when moving at extremely slow speeds.
Wireless Remote Control
The radio control system controls the movements of the cablecam. Running on the 2.4 GHz radio frequency band, it transmits a clear signal to the receiver antenna. The 2.4 GHz RF signal propagates in straight lines and can also get around objects on its path. The remote control system guarantees a long-range, jamming-free transmission and long battery life experience.
High-Performance Motor
The multi-pole 24V brushed DC motor has enough torque to directly drive the rig with the camera up to 22 lb, eliminating the need for a gearbox. This enables the drive system to be almost completely silent in operation.
Efficient Motor driver
The motor driver can supply a peak current of 91A to the brushed DC motor. It is the first synchronous regenerative motor driver in its class and also allows very fast stops and reverses. The motor driver has overcurrent and thermal protection to help prevent damage from accidental stalls.
Precision Motor Encoder
The high-precision motor encoder ensures accurate control of motion and can determine speed, position, distance, and acceleration so every movement is perfectly smooth.
Drive Wheel
An aluminum U-Groove wheel with polyurethane coating ensures better gripping, enhances the drive with cable force, and helps prevent cable slip. The polyurethane-coated wheel offers protection from wear and tear and improves operational reliability.
Balance Bar with Ronin Mounting Plate
The rod support bar provides allows you to balance your Ronin Gimbal (not included). The QR plate allows gimbal operators to switch from cablecam to handheld stabilizer within seconds. From unpacking and rigging to shooting takes less than 15 minutes, saving a lot of time and energy for your work.
Easy Swap Battery System
The onboard battery power provides seamless operations for a typical period of up to 25 minutes with payloads up to 22 lb.
