The Zhiyun Tech Crane 2 Pad Backing Plate for Big Lens consists of a camera riser with an extra foam pad. The riser is approximately 5/8 thick including the top rubber surface. This allows you to shoot with a lens that protrudes up to half-an-inch below the bottom of your camera on a tripod or Crane 2 gimbal.
It features a 1/4 -20 threaded mounting hole which allows it to easily attach to your tripod, and you turn the 1/4 -20 threaded screw by using a built-in thumbwheel. This avoids needing a screwdriver to tighten your camera on the riser, and it allows you to mount the riser on the tripod and then mount your camera on the riser. An included foam pad is used to protect the thumbwheel screw during storage and transport.
