The Easyrig Vario 5 Bundle includes the Easyrig Vario 5 with Flowcine Serene preinstalled, and a Flowcine Gravity One two-axis gimbal.
The Easyrig Vario 5 with Gimbal Rig Vest and 5 ? Extended Arm is a body-worn support system that is adjustable and supports camera rigs weighing between 11 and 38 lb. The system works by using a suspension line to support the weight of the gimbal rig, taking the load off your shoulder, neck, and arm muscles, and distributing it across your torso. The tension line is adjustable by turning a screw in the back, letting you dial in the appropriate amount of tension for your rig. The system consists of the Cinema 3 double shoulder vest, Vario support bar, and a standard support arm. A carrying bag is also included for convenient storage and transport of the Easyrig system.
The Flowcine Serene is a two-axis spring arm stabilizer that attaches to the end of the Easyrig arm. It smoothes video results by mitigating vertical vibrations induced by walking or running during a tracking shot. It also stabilizes side-to-side motion in similar tracking situations by counter-pivoting around its center axis. The Serene also allows for full use of the Easyrig spring extension for going from high to low mode.
The Serene supports rigs weighing between 11 and 44 lb, and the spring tension can be fine-tuned without the use of tools. It works well with the Flowcine Gravity One as well as other gimbal rigs, like the Freefly MA¶vi and B-Steady.
Add two-axis gimbal stabilization to your EasyRig or other body-rig setup with the black Flowcine Gravity One two-axis gimbal. Adding the two axes of the Gravity One (G-1) to the EasyRig creates a three-axis stabilization system that doesn t need power for brushless motors. The G-1 balances the camera on the tilt and roll axes, while the EasyRig s suspension cord creates the third pan axis.
Because the G-1 uses a purely mechanical design, it doesn t have the power or reliability limitations imposed by motors or other complex electrical components. The G-1 can support camera setups weighing from 10 to 37 lb. The mechanical design also allows for the camera operator to make direct contact with the camera to orchestrate pan and tilt moves with little effort.
In addition to being the third axis, the EasyRig removes the weight of the camera from your hands or shoulders and distributes it evenly over your body reducing fatigue and allowing you to shoot with heavier cameras over long periods of time. The G-1 s axes compensate for the pendulum effect inherent in the EasyRig s operation, for smoother camera movements when walking.
