When the Meta Mount is used with cinema lenses that feature ARRI s Lens Data System or Cooke s i/Data protocol, focus distance, T-stop, and focal length metadata are transmitted through the adapter s electronic contacts, appear in the BURANO s viewfinder and monitor, and get recorded to the video file for post-production work.

A 12-pin Hirose out connection enables focus, iris, and zoom control for ENG-style, servo-controlled broadcast lenses through the camera, Sony BURANO GP-VR100 hand grip, Sony FX9 top handle, a remote control panel, or the BURANO s web GUI. The Meta Mount has a max power consumption of 350mAh at 12V and includes a set of shims for precise lens calibration, a mini-USB cable for firmware updates, and accessory power cables.

The two-piece plate attaches to the top of the camera using the included screws and provides 1/4" -20 3/8" -16 ARRI-style anti-twist accessory threads for extension arms and handles. There are two 15mm rod ports on the front, and two 3.5" 15mm rods are included for mounting additional accessories.

A component in the center of the plate can be removed to allow attaching the PWX-FX9 top handle with full communication with the camera. There are optical markings on the plate for use with measuring tape. It can also be used with the optional left and right side plates for Sony BURANO.
