This cage is solid and has more attachment points than I know what to do with. KB has made very smart choices about how to shape the cage to ensure that all the parts fo the camera are still easy to reach, and the camera is still fairly comfortable to hold in the cage, even without external grips added. The NATO rail attachment for the handle is solid, but getting the pins aligned to attach can be difficult, so attaching the handle takes a few minutes to ensure that it is secured correctly and centered. The camera baseplate is well built and holds rods well while taking up very little space. The camera rise plate is difficult to remove from and reattach to the baseplate while the rails are installed, as they apply pressure on the bottom of the plate, but once assembled the rig is very firm and adds a lot of functionality to the camera without much bulk. The one drawback comes on the left side of the camera with the ports. Many users completely remove the dust covers that come with the camera on that side, however I prefer to keep the covers to reduce dirt in the ports. The HDMI/USB-C clamp on this cage is a great feature *but* it does prevent the opening and closing of the flaps. One can open the covers before installing the cage, which I have to do generally, however this means the cage must be removed from the camera to close the covers again. I would love to see a second revision of this cage where the cable clamp is a separate component that bolts to the cage, but can be removed without taking the whole camera out of the cage. This way the user could easily pull the clamp off to close the covers, and add it only when they need to hold cables in place. With this slight change, I would never have a reason to take my camera out of the cage.
