The SHAPE BP0008 V-Lock Quick Release Baseplate is a long format baseplate for larger cameras like the Alexa, F5, C300, and broadcast cameras. It can be used shoulder mounted, tripod mounted, and attached to V-lock tripod adapters.

The baseplate includes a removable shoulder pad and features rosette adapters for SHAPE and ARRI standard handles. It has 1/4 -20 and 3/8 -16 tripod mount threads and a V-lock delta adapter for attaching to the Sony VCT-14 or Panasonic SHAN-TM700 tripod adapter. The shoulder pad secures on by touch fasteners. The tripod mount threads are located underneath the shoulder pad. 8 and 4 15mm rods are included for the front and back.

This baseplate is the same as the SHAPE BP0007 except it is lighter and has a modified rod adapter in front. The reduced weight is the result of a thinner design, and the rod adapter features one ratchet knob instead of two, allowing quicker rod adjustments. For attaching a matte-box and other accessories, the rod adapter can be adjusted vertically if you remove the screw holding it in position. This baseplate also supports optional SHAPE 15mm Studio and 19mm Studio adapters in place of the included one.

The baseplate features three camera mount slots, all supporting 1/4 -20 and 3/8 -16 screws. The off-center slots allow you to mount your camera offset if you use a 15mm Studio Adapter. 1/4 -20 and 3/8 -16 mounting threads are peppered behind the three slots for attaching articulating arms and other accessories. Two 1/4 -20 and two 3/8 -16 camera mount screws are included. This baseplate is best used with cameras that use external viewfinders.

The black and red Telescopic Handles with ARRI Rosettes from SHAPE are left and right handgrips that can be attached to cameras and camera support hardware that has standard ARRI rosettes. Each arm features three points of articulation, combined with the approximately two inches of arm extension allows you to adjust the arms for your comfort. The arms attach to your camera or support via an ARRI compatible rosette with spring-loaded locking levers, which allow you to lock your arms in place without having a full 360° & of rotation.

Shape s unique push-button articulating joint provides additional articulation near the rosette, while a second push-button articulation joint allows you to rotate and precisely position the rubber handgrips. A second spring-loaded locking lever along the arms allows you to extend the arms up to two inches and rotate the handgrips throughout 360° & . The arms are indexed for extension and rotation, so you can quickly move between known setups.

The SHAPE 2-Stage 4 x 5.6 Clip-On and 15mm LWS Rod-Mounted Matte Box provides filmmakers flare and glare protection when creating their images, whether in a minimal configuration or on a large studio shoot. The matte box can be used either as a clip-on matte box when not using rods or with 15mm LWS rod supports, providing you the flexibility to use the same matte box in either shooting situation. The matte box comes with 114 and 84mm clip-on adapter rings.

The matte box features two rotating 4 x 5.6 filter stages, ideal for use with polarizers, grad, and effect filters. The two included 4 x 5.65 filter holders feature a spring-latch system to hold your filters securely, and each filter stage has a locking knob that enables you to precisely set the height of your filter in the stage. The matte box accepts lenses with a front diameter up to 114mm, and it includes an 82mm filter ring. It comes with six step-down rings that allow you to use lenses with an outer diameter of 52, 58, 62, 67, 72, and 77mm, preventing light from sneaking past the lens from behind the camera and degrading your image.

The SHAPE Follow Focus Pro mounts on 15mm rods and features an adjustable arm which puts the gear at the optimal position for the lens, no matter what the diameter is. The unit snaps onto 15mm rods, allowing for quick attachment, removal, and re-positioning. Two 0.8 pitch gears come included and give you a choice of either 28 teeth or 43 teeth - depending on the throw distance of the lens.
