The SHAPE Complete Rig System for RED is built around the REVOLT VCT Baseplate, which features a sliding camera plate and a movable, soft shoulder pad. The baseplate comes with front and rear rod clamps, with the front one capable of being mounted in a high or low position to match your optical center. The baseplate can be attached to VCT-14 plates without removing the shoulder pad first, although the shoulder pad can be unscrewed and completely removed. Other features of the baseplate include built-in storage areas for screws and an Allen key.

The rig also includes a rod-mount follow focus, rod-mount/clip-on matte box, top plate with an ergonomic top handle, RED-dedicated EVF mount, telescopic handles, and front and rear 15mm rods. Two 0.8 pitch aluminum gears are supplied with the follow focus, for different lens throw distances. The matte box features a two-stage rotating 4 x 5.6" filter holder and supports up to 114mm front diameter lenses. The top handle is length-adjustable for different shooting scenarios and offers two shoe mounts and other mounting points. The EVF mount and telescopic handles are designed with SHAPE s notable push button technology that allows you to make adjustments on the fly without setting the rig down.

The Complete Rig System supports the RED DSMC2, WEAPON, EPIC-W, SCARLET-W, and RAVEN. It isn t compatible with the RED DRAGON, EPIC, and SCARLET because of their bolt pattern and fan positions.

SHAPE REVOLT VCT Universal Baseplate

Featuring a sliding camera plate, SHAPE s REVOLT VCT Universal Baseplate can accommodate rigs of varying sizes. Simply attach your camera via 1/4" -20 or 3/8" -16 screws to the top plate, and slide it onto the shoulder plate. Fore and aft movement allows you to balance the weight of your setup properly. Further adjustments can be made by moving the shoulder pad. The 15mm rod clamps at the front and rear of the baseplate allow you to secure 15mm accessories such as a matte box, follow focus, lens motors, lens supports, battery plates, or external recorders. Since the front rod clamp is attached to the top plate, the rod-mounted accessories don t need to be repositioned as the rig is adjusted. Additionally, handles can be mounted to the ARRI standard rosettes on either side of the plate. When not shoulder-mounted, the baseplate can be secured to a standard VCT-14 ENG quick release in a matter of seconds, saving time on set.

The sliding baseplate provides a quick positioning of your camera and accessories for an optimal adjustment of your camera s balance center.

Height-adjustable rod clamp for aligning the 15mm rods at the proper LWS height in relation to the optical axis.

Front and rear rod clamps allow you to extend your rig forwards and backwards.

Built-in storage areas for extra screws and the Allen wrench ensure that necessary adjustment tools are always close at hand.

Safety pins and spring-loaded levers prevent the top plate from sliding unintentionally.

SHAPE Top Plate Extendable Handle & EVF Mount for Select RED Cameras

The top handle and top plate are designed to give you a solid and comfortable grip for the manipulation of your RED camera. The Push Button Arm with view finder bracket can easily be attached to the EVF mount of the top handle for an optimal setup of your RED camera rig.
The handle grip frame is made from robust CNC machined aluminum and the finger grip is made from genuine Canadian maple wood for maximum comfort. You can quickly adjust and lock the handle length for an extension of approximately 3 inches from its original position in order to optimize the balance of your camera to your lens type.

SHAPE Telescopic Handles with ARRI Rosettes (Black)

The black Telescopic Handles with ARRI Rosettes from SHAPE are left and right handgrips that can be attached to cameras and camera support hardware that has standard ARRI rosettes. Each arm features three points of articulation, combined with the approximately two inches of arm extension allows you to adjust the arms for your comfort. The arms attach to your camera or support via an ARRI compatible rosette with spring-loaded locking levers, which allow you to lock your arms in place without having a full 360° of rotation.

Shape s unique push-button articulating joint provides additional articulation near the rosette, while a second push-button articulation joint allows you to rotate and precisely position the rubber handgrips. A second spring-loaded locking lever along the arms allows you to extend the arms up to two inches and rotate the handgrips throughout 360° . The arms are indexed for extension and rotation, so you can quickly move between known setups.

The push-button locking joint enables independent rotation throughout 360° .

Spring-loaded locking levers allow you to tighten or loosen the lever even when you do not have space to turn the lever throughout the entire 360° range.

The arms feature two inches of extension and are indexed every 5mm of extension.

The arms can rotate through 360° and feature 30° of index markings.
