This SHAPE RED KOMODO Kit with Cage, Baseplate, Top Handle, Matte Box & Follow Focus Kit mounts on your RED KOMODO camera, providing a flexible lightweight tripod mounting system with support rods, a 2-stage matte box, and a follow focus kit for a location or studio camera system. This allows you to go from a fully built studio setup to a lightweight stripped-down package suitable for gimbal work with a minimal breakdown of mounting hardware.

The key to this kit is the dovetail plate that mounts on your camera and then fits into the adapter that mounts on the lightweight baseplate. The lightweight baseplate mounts on your tripod and has built-in rod clamps that support the matte box and follow focus. This allows you to remove your camera from the tripod, leaving the matte box and follow focus mounted, put the camera on a gimbal, and then quickly mount your camera back on the tripod with the accessories waiting and ready.

SHAPE Camera Cage for RED KOMODO

Improve the accessory mounting possibilities while protecting your RED KOMODO cinema camera with this SHAPE Camera Cage for RED KOMODO. The durable 3-piece cage is built around the top plate that you mount on your KOMODO, allowing you to mount the side riser panels and included 15mm rod clamps. Once mounted on your camera, you ve created a sturdy external cage that provides accessory mounting holes, as well as ARRI-compatible rosettes on each side for mounting optional grips to help you when handholding the KOMODO.

The cage is replete with 1/4" -20 accessory mounting threads for attaching a variety of available accessories, such as articulating arms. Additional 1/4" -20 and 3/8" -16 threaded holes with ARRI-style anti-twist divots allow you to attach accessories that stay secure and won t unexpectedly twist, which usually happens at the worst moment, ruining the shot. Two individual 15mm spring-loaded rod clamps can be mounted on the cage for adding rod-mounted accessories. The cage retains open access to all ports and controls on the camera, and it disassembles easily into three parts for transport and storage.

The advantage of the cage is that it provides a rigid external frame to your RED KOMODO camera for attaching accessories to your camera without stressing your camera s body. This allows you to accessorize without worrying about damaging your camera.

SHAPE 15mm Lightweight Baseplate for RED KOMODO

The SHAPE 15mm Lightweight Baseplate for RED KOMODO is a flexible system designed so you can easily swap your camera between a lightweight Ronin 2 gimbal system and a tripod-mounted system without having to swap baseplates. It features a dovetail plate, an adapter plate, and a lightweight baseplate with rod clamps. The dovetail adapter mounts onto the 15mm lightweight baseplate, and the dovetail plate mounts on your camera enabling you to move between your gimbal and your tripod.

The adapter plate features two 3/8" -16 threaded mounting holes with ARRI-style anti-twist divots, one on each side of the plate, that accept a variety of accessories as well as optional SHAPE ARRI-style rosette inserts for attaching handgrips for handheld use. The lightweight baseplate mounts on your tripod/tripod plate via 1/4" -20 and 3/8" -16 threaded holes, and it has integrated 15mm LWS rod clamps for the included aluminum rods.

SHAPE Follow Focus Kit with Single 15mm Rod Clamp

Use the compact SHAPE Follow Focus Kit with Single 15mm Rod Clamp with your camera setup to make focus pulling easy. The modular design allows you to add and remove any of the components without screws or tools, and its small profile allows the addition of a matte box or accessories around your lens.

At the core of the kit is a rubber, anti-slip follow focus wheel attached to a single aluminum 15mm rod clamp. The clamp rotates to adjust to most lens sizes, and it s tightened by a locking lever. The clamp s rotation also allows the focus wheel to easily swing out of the way when changing lenses.

Five drive gears are included to fit a variety of lens sizes: 0.5 MOD/78T, 0.6 MOD/64T, 0.8 MOD/38T, 0.8 MOD/43T, and 0.8 MOD/78T. The gears can be flipped from front to back to facilitate different lens configurations. A 49mm rubber friction wheel is also included for the 0.5 MOD/78T gear which is most commonly used with DSLR lenses.

For alternate fine-focus configurations, use the included speed crank or 11" whip, both of which attach to the center point of the knob. Four magnetic marking disks are included to attach to the focus wheel.

Modular design allows for addition and removal of components without tools or screws. Its compact size allows it to fit easily with lens accessories like a matte box.

The rubber follow focus wheel is attached to an adjustable, aluminum 15mm rod clamp which can swing away when changing lenses.

The SHAPE 2-Stage 4 x 5.6" Clip-On and 15mm LWS Rod-Mounted Matte Box provides filmmakers flare and glare protection when creating their images, whether in a minimal configuration or on a large studio shoot. The matte box can be used either as a clip-on matte box when not using rods or with 15mm LWS rod supports, providing you the flexibility to use the same matte box in either shooting situation. The matte box comes with 114 and 84mm clip-on adapter rings.

The matte box features two rotating 4 x 5.6" filter stages, ideal for use with polarizers, grad, and effect filters. The two included 4 x 5.65" filter holders feature a spring-latch system to hold your filters securely, and each filter stage has a locking knob that enables you to precisely set the height of your filter in the stage. The matte box accepts lenses with a front diameter up to 114mm, and it includes an 82mm filter ring. It comes with six step-down rings that allow you to use lenses with an outer diameter of 52, 58, 62, 67, 72, and 77mm, preventing light from sneaking past the lens from behind the camera and degrading your image.
