The CAMVATE Cage-Style Camera Rig is adjustable to support most DSLR/mirrorless type compact cameras. The four-sided cage-style support is 10.2 wide and can be height-adjusted to provide up to 5.9 of space from above the camera plate.
The rig features a baseplate with a Manfrotto-type quick release camera plate. Using this camera plate, you can move your camera between the rig and Manfrotto-style tripod heads, which are very common. The baseplate has 15mm LWS rod support and comes with a pair of rods and a Y-shaped lens support. You can mount additional accessories onto the rods, such as a follow focus and matte box, sold separately. And the lens support can be used to safely hold up long telephoto lenses.
Two handgrips attach to the left and right sides of the cage and can independently be positioned at the height you find most comfortable. Also included with the rig are two mini ball heads and a shoe mount to support additional accessories, such as a mic, light, or wireless transmitter. Attaching to the top, the mini ball heads provide a 1/4 -20 mounting screw, and each supports up to 3.3 lb.
The rig provides 1/4 -20 and 3/8 -16 mounting threads all around, including on the handgrips, for attaching articulating arms and other accessories. The included shoe mount can be secured to any one of the 1/4 -20 threads, giving you the flexibility to mount accessories in different locations on the rig.
