Tilta HDMI Cable Clamp Attachment for Sony FX3 (Black)

Poor design, it really can't adjust for different hdmi cable connector widths like the small rig one. A little frustrating when half the industry uses an atamos and your clamp isn't compatible with their cord like small rig's

Maybe a little small for some of the fatter hdmi cables, but really nice implementation like most of the tilts stuff. The cage this attached to slides into the base plate on the DJI rs2, saving a step when going into gimbal mode. Nice.

This piece still has me scratching my head. Let me start with when I finally got it to work I'm happy with what it does but it took a bit to get to this point. First this is suppose to work on the FX3 full cage but this is the first problem. There is a screw on the left side of the cage that holds the cage to the camera but the head of the screw is too big. There isn't clearance to then attach this piece to the side of the cage. Strange since both pieces are made by the same company. I have a tone of SmallRig screws and other screws in a big bag. I found one with a smaller head that will also fit in the hole and secure the camera on the left side. With that in place I can not mount the clamp around it. Second thing is you cant use the Atomos HDMI cables with this. The head of the cable is too big to work with this so you need to get the Tilta dongle to attach to the camera then attach the HDMI cable to that. They should sell this as a pair with the dongle or at least let people know some HDMI cables wont work without the dongle. There was a lot of trial and error to get this all to work. A few orders to to get it right. Now that I have it all together I do like that this secures the dongle in place to the camera and you attach the hdmi cable to this so there is less stress to the HDMI port on the camera since the dongle stays in place and you detach the hdmi cable from the dongle and not the camera. Strange they don't make one of these clamps for the USB power cable.

As stated in another review. This does not work with Atomos HDMI cable. Also when attached to the Tilta Cage the screw head for the side of the cage is too wide to clear the HDMI clamp and cant screw into the left side of the cage. I have a bunch of SmallRig screws and found one with a smaller head that fit.

Note: This doesn't work with all HDMI cables. I use Pearstone slim HDMIs for gimble use. This clamp doesn't come close to gripping them.
