This two-piece Niceyrig Quick Release Plate Kit can be attached to various camera supports, such as select shoulder rigs, shoulder pads, and cheese plates. It can also be used to build up a rig with other components. The bottom plate (baseplate) attaches to your rig with two included 1/4 -20 screws, and the top plate attaches to your camera. The camera can then be mounted on the baseplate and removed by quick release. The camera plate comes with both 1/4 -20 and 3/8 -16 camera mounting screws, and it can be secured not just to cameras but also to camera cages and other gear.
The camera plate features the Manfrotto 501PL standard, which is compatible with many common tripods and other camera supports, so you can easily move your camera between your rig and these camera supports. The camera plate is tightened into place on the baseplate via a spring-loaded lever on the side of the baseplate, and a safety lock on the baseplate ensures the camera plate won t come off accidentally, even when the spring-loaded lever is loosened. The safety lock is released at the push of a release button.
