Miller CompassXV 14 Tripod System Overview

The Versa CXV14 Head, Sprinter II 2-Stage CF Tripod, Mid-Level Spreader, Rubber Feet & Soft Case Kit from Miller includes a CX14 fluid head with a pan handle, a Sprinter II 2-stage carbon fiber tripod with 100mm bowl, a mid-level spreader, and a soft case. The CX14 fluid head supports up to 30.9 lb and employs CB Plus technology, providing 15+0 positions of counterbalance, 5+0 levels of pan and tilt settings, and 3.9" of camera plate travel.

The head is matched with the two-stage Sprinter II carbon fiber tripod, and together the system has a height range of 23.7 to 66.6". The included mid-level spreader is well suited for working on uneven or rocky terrain and allows your tripod to remain stable on such uneven surfaces as stairs. The soft case features top and bottom cradles and straps, a storage pocket, as well as hand and backpack straps.

The Versa CXV14 Fluid Head with Pan Handle from Miller is designed to accommodate a wide payload range, 16 steps of counterbalance with CB Plus for fine adjustments, as well as five selectable pan/drag settings. Even in harsh conditions, the CXV14 will perform reliably. The base of the CXV14 is a 100mm ball for mounting to compatible tripods and grip equipment. An illuminated bubble level makes it easy to level the CXV14 in dark environments. A fixed-length pan handle is included, and a second rosette is available for attaching an optional second pan handle.

The Miller Sprinter II 2-Stage Carbon Fiber Tripod is a quick-setup solution for a tripod head with 100mm ball base. Its light weight, flip-locks, and rigid construction allow for durability without compromising usability in ENG, EFP, and other pro video applications. Unlike many traditional multi-stage designs, both flip-locks are located on the same section for easy reaching, no matter the height setting. The fast setup is complemented by an in-line carry handle, for portability on set or in the field. Compatible spreaders, rubber feet, and dollys are available separately.
