Unlike most other heads, the QR plates can be introduced from the end or rolled in from the side. It has both translating safety retention pin and center slot retention screws slots, and it is an ideal video/optics head for outdoor use.

The bubble level in the base assures proper azimuth alignment for video and nightscape panning shots.
