miliboo MUF Video Fluid Head

I love my Manfrotto 502AH but wanted a second setup that was light weight and less bulky. I didn't have very high expectations for this head, but the price was right so I decided to give it a try. I am very glad that I did! At this price point, the MUF Fluid Head is a fantastic value! I can't say how well it will hold up over time, but out of the box the build quality is nice and it is much smaller and lighter than the 502AH. The drag is not adjustable but is more than sufficient when using a large 80mm spotting scope. I was hoping the mount would be reversible to get the clamp knob on the other side, but it is unidirectional construction so it can't be switched. There was a little play in the base when I first mounted it to my tripod - Turns out, the 3 assembly screws on the underside of the base were not quite snug. A quick quarter turn with an Allen wrench and all is well :) For what I paid, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I have not had great experiences with tripods this size and price. Not in this case! This tripod delivers! I love it. It is perfectly crafted, compact and performs well. Typically, pan and tilt has glitches with similar tripods. Not with the MUFA. Perfect pan and tilt. I can't say enough great things about this tripod.

Great price for a tripod with a fluid head! Everything about this tripod seems pretty good, except maybe the twist locks. Not sure if they will hold up over time. Overall, decent tripod.

I got 4 tripods at once. Miliboo MUFA Manfrotto Befree Live Benro Aero 2 Benro Aero 4 4th Place: Manfrotto BeFree Live. I wanted to love this as it was the most compact tripod for travel, and carried my favorite brand name. The legs are great, and the head is decent. The big problem here is the ball level and tightening mech. The ball level below the head would be great, if it worked properly. When you set your level and tighten it down (little screw knobs are hard to tighten all the way with your fingertips) it wants to slip when you start panning and tilting. Making for the beginning of all your movements jumpy and unpredictable. Also after it slips your level is now off. This is not a friendly tripod kit to me and is unusable. 3rd Place: Benro S4 Aero. The biggest mark against this tripod is the size and weight. This is the best operating tripod kit of the mix if we were talking about performance. Legs are solid, Head is very nice and smooth. It is just much larger than the other 3 making this unusable as something I want to throw in a bag or on a backpack. 2nd Place: Benro S2 Aero. I really liked this kit, The legs are solid, and the head was surprisingly smooth compared to some of the reviews I read. I would compare this kit to the Manfrotto Befree Live. It's just a tad larger in travel size (not much to make a difference), but the ball level works flawlessly, and the tightening mechs are much better. This tripod was much more friendly than the Manfrotto BeFree Live. One downside is the head uses a different plate than the standard and for some people can be annoying to deal with. 1st Place: .... can't believe it but it's the Miliboo MUFA. I bought this tripod with the intention on returning it just to compare to the others. The head is smoother and better than the BeFree Live and S2 , and I would even say its comparable to the S4. Out of the 4 tripod legs I actually think these are the strongest as well. You can feel the difference. These feel like nice aluminum legs and the other 3 felt like hollow plastic. Maybe that is why this tripod is rated to hold much more weight than the others. Portability wise these fold up almost as small as the Manfrotto BeFree Live and is super compact. For the price and performance you can't beat this! Little tidbit ... Just to show the quality of this item, this came with the best tripod bag out of the 4 being the most protective, and had a nice sealed small bag for your tightening tools that the others skimped on. If I had to knock on this tripod for anything it would be that it doesn't have a ball level like the others, but one could say that's one less thing to worry about.
