Neewer TH45 Overview
The TH45 Tripod Fluid Head with Adjustable Damping from Neewer is a lightweight fluid damping pan and tilt head that comes with a quick release plate and a telescoping pan handle for either side of the head. The damping system features six-step counterbalance control and four-step pan/tilt drag control, which allow smooth +90/-60 tilt and 360° panning adjustments. The 501PL-type dual-mode quick release plate makes it a great option for quickly switching from the tripod head to any optional gimbal system with optional DJI RS 3/RS 2-style gimbal plates.
The TH45 has a payload capacity of 17.6 lb and weighs 4.4 lb, making it an ideal option for projects with mid-size or larger camera rigs. Mounting different types of cameras, including mirrorless and DSLR models, is facilitated by the included 1/4" -20 and 3/8" -16 screws that come with the plate, and a 1/4" -20 thread on the side allows you to mount an optional accessory such as an extension arm.
Dynamic Counterbalance System
This tripod fluid head weighs only 4.4 lb, supports up to 17.6 lb, and can be attached to a tripod via a 75mm rapid-leveling bowl or 3/8" -16 thread. The counterbalance system features six adjustable damping settings that dynamically respond to changes in camera weights to ensure stability.
Panoramic Damping Control
The horizontal damping system has four adjustable damping levels for more accurate and seamless 360° panoramic shooting. The 13.8 to 21.3" telescoping handle can be mounted on either side for single-handed operation, and a convenient bubble level can help check the horizontal alignment.
Vertical Tilt Damping
Use the side knob to adjust from the four-level adjustable damping levels depending on the weight of the loaded equipment and easily achieve smooth +90° /-60° up/down tilting movements.
Quick & Easy Switching Modes
The fluid head has two quick release modes, one compatible with DJI RS2/RS3/RS 3 Pro gimbal plates and one compatible with Manfrotto 501PL quick release plates. Compared to the traditional slide-in structure, you can press the quick release plate directly from the top of the fluid head and quickly lock it, as well as release the plate via the fast quick release button. This dual system provides an efficient and convenient way to switch between handheld, tripod, and gimbal shooting.
Mounting Options
The 3/8" -16 to 1/4" -20 camera screws on the quick release plate are compatible with a variety of DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, camcorders, and telescopes. An extra 1/4" -20 thread on the side allows you to mount an optional accessory such as a monitor, light, or extension arm.
