Brass analog dials ensure positive adjustments and will wear nicely with use. Already have a suite of Nikon F-Mount glass? Those are mostly compatible when used with the FTZ adapter, so no need to swap out your 35, 85, and wedding zooms for client work.

Bonus feature, flip LCD can be stowed away for a truly retro experience from before chimping was the norm and saves the screen from unwanted scratches since there's no included cover. Overall, no complaints with this spec-stacked simplified retro body.

I eventually pulled the trigger on this lens. For certain type of video shooting, power zoom is a must. Fashion show, performance on the stage, conference, etc. If you go to those event with a normal zoom lens, your footage is not ok. It is either you are stuck with one focal length or you try to zoom the photo lens and the result is just not acceptable. But when we look at consumer world, there is no alternative to this lens in any system (at least before canon 24-105 f2.8 with the power zoom unit) and if you do not want go with camcorder way. Buy a Sony camera with this 28-135 is the only choice. I do want to give it a 5 stars for how unique and essential this lens is. But due to the outdated design and average optical quality, I just can not. The power zoom is very slow even at maxiam speed (control it by how much force you push the leveler). The manual zoom operation is pretty much useless to me. The feedback is just too lagging. The manual focus feedback is bad (in auto focus position). And the focus tracking while zoom in and out is not always spot on. I guess it is not optimize for that back then. And the resolution just not on par with recent Sony lens. Decent for 4k. That's being said I can not live without this Lens. The price is right for what it is. And there is simply no alternative in any brand. In my lens collection, I think this is the lens that I wanted an updated version badly.

Am quite surprised by the weight of the lens and ease of handling. I haven't used it much - did some trial shots at my backyard bird feeder - and so far I like what I see :-) .. will shoot some more over the coming holidays

I loved the Nikon z6ii so I thought I may like this as an alternative camera with the upgraded processor and flippy screen. Aside from those 2 benefits and the solid body construction, that's about where the good stopped. The controls are terribly clunky especially with the ISO.

In this budget, it is so amazing... I will choose it in my film with BMPCC 6k pro... I will see the results!

Two weeks into receiving 2 AirHalos, they've worked of every job I've had.
A client had ordered lights for a new studio for a still shoot and they had not arrived, I had the AirHalos on the truck and put them to work as a cyc wash. Worked flawlessly! Nice even spread with plenty of output. Next they were used as cross Keys for a 3 camera interview shoot.
Will be employing them as a space light on my next project. Good build, light weight with plenty of output. No CRMX but app works well!

I had the previous version of this and returned it because I wanted DMX compatibility: paid about €100 more for this. Was told it was also better quality light most likely. I can’t attest to that. I haven’t used it. I opened it up and saw how cheap the plastic was and immediately was confused about how this was a newer, upgraded version. The last version at least was metal. This is full plastic!! Like the other review said, very cheap. I am going to return it because I fear it won’t last very long. Flimsy plastic with hallow space, feels easy to break.

These Rokinon Cine lenses work just like large format lenses on the SLR which is fantastic. I am loving the all-manual focus and aperture ring, plus the glass is very high quality.
