The 120° Wide Outdoor Passive Infrared Detector from Optex is robust, IP54-rated weatherproof, and specifically designed for short-range outdoor applications, such as triggering lighting or cameras. With advanced features such as sensitivity and range adjustment, as well as a built-in light sensor for providing day and night modes, the detector is highly versatile. Furthermore, using double conductive shielding, the detector is resistant to interference from up to 50,000 lux of foreign light, such as sunlight or car headlights, eliminating false alarms.
The detector features a 120° field of view for detecting a wide coverage area, and it is protected against water and insects for outdoor use. The interior design of the detector has simple wiring and a tight sealing for keeping the interior components safe, and the exterior offers a compact, unobtrusive look for blending into residential decor. An LED indicator will alert you to abnormalities such as lack of power, wrong polarity, incorrect detection areas, or drastic temperature changes. It can be wall mounted and included hardware for an easy installation.
Selectable Detection Patterns (Multi or Pet Alley)
Multi-level or Pet Alley detection patterns can be selected by sliding the printed circuit board and flipping the mirror. Changing the vertical detection area allows the detector to match the site conditions.
Area Masking Strips
Unwanted detection areas can be easily eliminated by attaching the supplied masking strips.
Selectable Pulse Count (Test or 2)
Test Mode is selected when conducting a Walk Test or for use in extremely stable environments.
Day & Night Mode
Adjust the Day/Night Mode switch according to the brightness of the surrounding environment.
Easy Wiring
The detector has 2 wiring holes, allowing smooth wiring with one wire per hole and enabling easy installation. In addition to the simplified wiring process, use of the supplied weatherproof sponge makes for tight sealing.
Applications
This detector is well-suited for applications such as activation of a CCD camera, light, siren, and/or other devices, front and/or backyard alongside fences, garage/parking lots, delivery door, and similar situations.
