I strongly prefer the Apple ecosystem over the Amazon or Google ecosystems. These devices are simple on/off switches but so far they do that quite well.

This device was very easy to set up and use -- it took 5 minutes tops.My primary purpose for buying was for the energy monitoring. With it I was able to determine within a day that a computer I own was drawing a lot of power in idle -- another day in sleep mode and power draw was at 2% what it had been when not in use! I also was able to roughly calculate the monthly cost of a couple devices I own that stay on regularly.I did not buy these for the smart features, but I've ended up using it for powering on an off a fan I use to sleep at night! This functionality also works very well and is easy to use (and because of it I won't accidentally run a fan during the day).Would highly recommend this product if you're not a part of some bigger smart-home ecosystem. It's cheaper than most things out there and works very well, very easily.
