Philips Hue GU10 Bulb with Bluetooth (White and Color Ambiance, 10-Pack)

I wanted to be able to control the lights in my office using Google Assistant I do this with lots of other lights and it works great and none of them need a hub. They were on sale so I bought them. I needed 6 lights for the office so I bought 2 packs of 4. Setup in the hue app was OK, but connecting it to Google was frustratingly difficult - and I'm the person people call when they are stuck with technology. The instructions are not correct and it will not work if you follow the on screen prompts unless you are using a Phillips Bridge - which is another €60. I didn't want that so I carried on. I got 5 of the 6 working but one gave an error and, no matter what I tried (including full reset and deleting everything and starting again) it would not connect with Google. Then I figured out that Google only works if the connected bluetooth device (the only way to use if without a bridge) was in the room. That doesn't help when my wife is in the office an I'm not around. Since I can't use it without the BT device being near, it's pretty much useless. I'm not asking my wife to connect her device and use another app, that will just be too much of a headache. Since it won't work directly with Google Home these are going back. Sadly, I now have to pay shipping on that.
