Reduce noise in your USB audio playback with the iFi AUDIO iDefender+ USB Type-A Ground Loop Breaker. This device is designed to eliminate noise caused by ground loops. It has a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A input and a USB Type-A output and can be powered via USB from your device or with an optional USB Type-C power adapter.
Break the Loop
When plugged into your source device s USB port, the iDefender+ is designed to detect whether there s a ground loop problem and break it by disconnecting the computer s ground, virtually eliminating audible ground-loop hum and lowering the system noise floor to enhance resolution and dynamic audio contrast.
Compatible with External Power
If you re using the iDefender+ with a DAC that uses USB power rather than AC power or a built-in battery, the iDefender+ can use a separate power source via its USB Type-C power port, blocking power from the computer.
