Astell & Kern A&futura SE300 Titan High-Resolution Music Player (Titanium, Limited Edition)

Continuing the innovation of providing premium analog-quality audio on-the-go, the titanium A& futura SE300 Titan High-Resolution Music Player from Astell & Kern is the fourth model in the A& futura range. The SE300 incorporates a fully discrete 24-bit R-2R DAC, dual Class A/AB amps, and self-developed FPGA technology. The integration of these technologies is made possible with A& K's TERATON ALPHA technology, which are housed in a precision-crafted aluminum main body with streamlined surfaces and accents of stainless steel and glass. Using their black-and-red Crimson-themed UI/UX through the 5.46" Full HD display, you can quickly browse your music library, stream from online services, and receive files wirelessly over your home network.

Titan Limited Edition

Grade 5 titanium alloy that consists of a blend of aluminum and vanadium, is crafted by ultra-precise processing and polishing machinery, such as a 6-axis control robot, Swiss-made 5-axis vibration-free CNC machine, and the hands of skill engineers. The material and crafting of the SE300 Titan come together to help it better withstand heat and electrical conductivity, reducing temperature variance and interference with the R-2R DAC and Class A/AB amplifiers.

24-bit R-2R DAC

In order to have this DAC function required the ultra-precise current management of 96 0.01% TCR10 resistors. The meticulous design helps to create an even more accurate analog sound from a digital source than in previous generations.

Class A/AB Dual Amps

Choose which amp you'd like to use to best suit the genre of music you're listening to. Class A offers low distortion with soft, warm, and natural sounds. Use it to get the closest to the original analog audio source. Class AB gives you more power with dynamic and crisp sounds. It does so with high efficiency and less harmonic distortion.

2-Step Gain Mode

In order to ensure that your existing high-quality headphones can be used with the premium audio output of the SE300, Astell & Kern incorporated a 2-step gain mode. For sensitive IEMs and hard-to-drive headphones, you can go from Normal gain to High gain, which increases unbalanced output from 2 to 3 Vrms, and balanced output from 4 to 6 Vrms.

OS/NOS Modes

Determine the amount of processing you want to use with your music by selecting OS (Oversampling) or NOS (Non-Oversampling) modes. NOS reproduces pure original sound without digital processing, allowing you to enjoy unprocessed sound decoded by the DAC. OS uses partial digital processing to expand the bandwidth of the original signal for increases acoustic detail, and a more expansive soundstage with clear and crisp sounds.

Crimson-Themed UI/UX

The crimson-themed interface reduces eye fatigue with a black and red color scheme, while making it easy for you to quickly browse music categories to find exactly what you want to listen to. With album art search, you can experience the joy of finding music through their iconic album covers. The system also offers artist view and access to many online streaming services.

AK File Drop

Easily transfer files to the SE300 using your PC, smartphone, or an FTP program on the same network

ReplayGain

This feature automatically and uniformly adjusts varying track volumes to a singular playback volume, making long listening sessions easier to enjoy without requiring regular volume adjustment.

BT Sink

Connect the SE300 to an external Bluetooth device with BT SINK and stream the music through the SE300 to improve the sound quality.

Illuminated Volume Knob

An analog volume knob is backlit with a multi-color LED that changes color based on the current track. Based on the color, you can quickly see the bit depth or current AMP mode, with color-coding for 16-, 24-, 32-bit, and DSD.
