Sangean U-4 Overview

From jobsites to campsites, the U4 Rugged AM/FM/Weather Wireless Portable Radio from Sangean is built to withstand the elements while delivering music, talk, sports, and weather. The rugged roll cage frame and speaker core are shock-resistant and IP65-rated for resistance to both dust and water. It plays audio through a large 6.5" 7W speaker, which can be provided from a variety of sources. Use the backlit digital display and tuning to dial in your favorite AM or FM station, stream audio from your smartphone via Bluetooth, or connect a wired device to the 3.5mm AUX input. You also have access to 7 NOAA weather channels, which can keep you informed if you receive an automatic alert from the Public Alert system.

Battery Charging

When going mobile, the U4 is powered by six D batteries (not included). If you use rechargeable batteries, you can use the U4's integrated AC cord to charge them without the hassle of removing them and using another charger.

USB Charging

Whether plugged into continuous AC power or using batteries, the U4 can provide your smartphone with 5V/1A of power via a USB-A port. This helps to keep your phone available in case of an emergency, or to simply ensure it has enough power to keep streaming your favorite tunes.
