AudioSource AMP1200VS 12-Channel Stereo Power Amplifier
EAN: 041087906731
Designed for home and commercial audio distribution, the AudioSource AMP1200VS 12-Channel Stereo Power Amplifier features two stereo RCA BUS inputs and one independent stereo RCA input per channel. Individual channel volume controls let you set a maximum volume level per zone for enhanced control.
Master Power Switch with Indicator LED
The push-button power switch on the front turns the amplifier on and off. When the switch is on and the indicator LED is red, the amplifier is in standby mode, and the remote turn-on switch in the rear is either in the trigger or auto position. When the LED is blue, the amplifier is fully active. The master power switch will turn off the amplifier no matter which power mode has been selected.
Zone Status Indicators
Each pair of channels or zones has a bi-color LED to indicate its operational status, which help provide quick and easy troubleshooting of the system. If the circuitry determines that a channel must be shut down due to excessive heat or low impedance (indicative of a short circuit), only the channels that are affected will be turned off, causing its zone LED to turn red the remaining zones will continue to operate and maintain a blue LED status. Once the condition has been corrected for the zone in question, its status LED will return to blue.
BUS Line Inputs and Outputs
The amplifier has two common or BUS inputs that receive audio signals from line-level audio sources and sends them to any or all channels. The BUS line outputs are direct feed-through to allow the BUS inputs to be fed to other amplifiers.
Remote Power-On Switch
This switch selects the power-on signal that will put the amplifier in ready mode. The Trigger setting relies on the trigger input signal, while the Auto setting senses a signal on the RCA line-level inputs and puts the amp in ready mode. The On setting puts the amp in perpetual ready mode so that it can be controlled by the master power switch on the front panel. In Auto mode, the amplifier will take approximately 15 minutes to return from ready to standby mode.
Trigger Input/Output
The 1/8 jack will accept a 3 to 30V AC/DC output from another device or a separate power supply. When the trigger input is engaged, the amp turns from standby mode to on. When using the amp with a receiver without a trigger output, the voltage can come from a 12V wall wart (1/8 tip-positive connector) plugged into the receiver s switched outlet and the trigger input. The amp can also provide an output trigger voltage to turn other devices in the audio system on and off. When the amplifier goes into standby mode, the voltage drops to zero.
Channel Gain Control
Each channel has its own independent level adjustment, allowing the output level of each speaker to be matched to its area. It can also be used to limit the maximum audio level in a particular area.
Bridging Switch
By flipping a switch, two channels can be combined to increase the total power output, helping extra power reach specific areas.
Individual Input Selection Switches
Each channel has its own input selection switch, allowing you to have whichever source you want playing in whichever zone you want.
