It has connections for a 13.2-channel speaker setup, but can also handle 7.2.6 or 9.2.4 configurations, with 150W per channel, and support for the latest in cinema-level immersion sound, such as Dolby Atmos, DTX:X, IMAX Enhanced, and more. Eight HDMI ports can handle 8K/60 pass through or upscaled video, in addition to 4K/120 that s ideal for next-gen gaming. Music can be streamed over a home network or a mobile device via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet, and transmitted throughout your home thanks to HEOS Built-in technology.

With HEOS Built-In, you can wirelessly stream your music throughout your home, either with the same song in every room, or a different song in each location that features a HEOS-compatible speaker.

In addition to components traditionally wired to the rear panel, you can use the front USB port to plug in an optional flash drive, with support for Hi-Res 24-bit/192 kHz files. For a more convenient option, you can stream music through the receiver. Built-in support for popular streaming services, such as Spotify, Pandora, TIDAL, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, SiriusXM, and more can be accessed via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. You can also wirelessly stream via Apple AirPlay 2 or Bluetooth from compatible mobile devices.

Voice Control

Conveniently control the receiver and audio playback using voice commands and the smart speakers already in your home. The AVR-X8500HA has built-in support for AirPlay 2 and Siri for iOS devices, and works with both Alexa and Google Assistant.
