The large-sized flagship Dymension DM80 3-Way Floorstanding Speaker from Definitive Technology represents the epitome of the Dymension floorstanding speaker line. The speaker combines bi-polar speaker arrays with an active 3XR-optimized subwoofer/dual passive radiator system and built-in amp like the DM60 and DM70. However, the bass response is maximized with a 12" subwoofer/radiator combo and 500W (peak) GaN FET amplifier. Together, they deliver exceptional bass you can feel, that is balanced seamlessly with lifelike, detailed, room-filling sound.

The front- and rear-facing bi-polar arrays consist of a pair of 5.25" midrange woofers and a 1" tweeter each, complementing the massive low-end with crisp highs, detailed mids, and an overall balanced sound throughout the room. To elevate your surround experience even further, a top-mounted connection can accept an optional DM90 height module.

Dolby Atmos & DTS:X Ready

When you're ready to take your home theater system to the next level, you can pop the top panel of the DM80 to expose a speaker connection that is designed to accommodate a DM90 height module. With a DM90 speaker attached, you can take advantage of Dolby Atmos or DTS:X object-based surround, adding height effects for audio that completely envelops you from all sides.

Intelligent Bass Control

You can control the level of the bass you want via a dedicated knob on the back of the DM80, but don't worry about turning it up. Built-in intelligent bass processing works to seamlessly blend the bass with the mids and highs as you dial it up, so the increased low-end sound doesn't interfere with sound effects or dialogue.

BDSS & Linear Response Waveguide

The four 5.25" midrange woofers in the DM80 feature BDSS (Balanced Double Surround System) and Linear Response Waveguide technology. Together, they improve sound excursion, midrange detail, and extend off-axis dispersion, resulting in a large and immersive soundstage.

The DM80 is timbre-matched to seamlessly integrate with other Definitive Technology series of speakers, such as other speakers in the Dymension, Dymension CI, and Mythos lines.
